For more than a decade this client  has dedicated itself to transforming raw financial data into valuable market intelligence. They started to build a better way for the global financial community to access, and make use of, disparate financial data and their solution is now globally used and they now have offices in NY, London and soon PAris . They are now establishing their software development division in Paris and are seeking to recruit their key project / development manager to run the development and new products .

Responsabilities 

Oversee the development, testing, packaging, deployment and debugging for end user applications. Lead a team of software developers in an agile software development environment. Manage multiple software projects concurrently. Must work effectively across multiple internal organizations to ensure delivery of operational ready and production scale software applications. Works with architectural and production staff to identify project and technical design requirements. Collaborates in approving technologies and key elements of the technical design. Participates in establishing priorities for projects and the allocation of resources between projects to ensure timely project delivery and achievement of strategic business objectives. Remains current with new technology and industry best practices through training and personal initiative . Recruit a team of developers.

 Experience & Skills

Must have exposure to recent technologies: .NET, SQL , Agile methodologies, eXtreme Programmingetc.. Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks in time-critical situations. Project management experience with agile techniques including adaptable iterative development cycles. Former experience as a developer required. Must be able to read/communicate code/development issues with technical resources and decision makers. Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate cross-functionally. Has strong persuasion and negotiation skills as well as conflict resolution skills/experience. Ability to both take and give direction. Ability to delegate tasks, coach people, and motivate a team. Fluent with collaboration tools including wiki, issue tracking, version control, test suites . Eagerness to work within a dynamic, client-focused, service-oriented environment. 

This role will lead to the management /recruitment of software developers and will be an integral part of the growth of this division in France.

Their Paris office is now seeking to recruit an additional sales person who need to be a strong business developer with good capital markets knowledge.  Key targets being major financial institutions, insurance companies, asset managers and corporates. You may be required to travel within Europe depending on territory. This role will look at both upselling to existing clients, and to organisations who are not currently clients .  Fluent French and English are required, with additional European languages a bonus.   The successful candidate will need to work closely with the sales support teams, product management and marketing to leverage the capabilities of the client's  within the territory space defined.  Primary responsibility will be for the achievement of target through direct sales.

Typical activities will include:   Pipeline generation and successful conversion of opportunities,   Building and maintaining effective professional relationships with clients,   Hunting for new business within territory – solution selling new services,  Contributing to business plans through market intelligence,    Maintaining a record of activity in Salesforce.

  Knowledge & Experience:      Demonstration of a minimum of 2 years successful achievement in target-driven sales,    A highly motivated ‘self-starter’ who is, at the same time, an excellent team player,     Excellent communication skills both with the market and internal colleagues are essential,   Enthusiasm to travel.
